IS THERE HELP FOR WORN EDGES?
Your rug's edges and borders sustain the most wear. Referred to as "Fringes & Binding" they hold the rug
together. Once damaged, the weaving will become undone. Immediate restoration of the binding will stabilize
the situation. Decorative fringes can be authentically recreated or a pre-fabricated fringe can be used. |

WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT "COLOR BLEEDING"?
Vegetal dyes become unstable when exposed to moisture and certain liquids. Our time-tested
methods can usually reverse this damage and restore the rug to its original splendor. |

HOW CAN YOU FIX RIPS AND TORN SEAMS?
Our restorers use delicate hand sewing to make repairs on
delicate and fragile while "heat-seaming" techniques
are used when appropriate. The seam is then reinforced to maintain the rug's integrity against daily wear
and tear. The damage completely disappears. |

CAN A LARGE HOLE BE REPAIRED?
Often large holes from wear or dry rot demand intricate reweaving to conserve valuable rugs.
Foundations can be reconstructed on the loom using authentic wool, silk, and cotton to
repile the face; preserving the original colors and texture. |

WHAT IS A PITCH REPAIR?
This remedy is employed when a rug's value doesn't warrant reweaving. A choice remnant is selected to closely
match the design. Cutting away the worn area, we use a "wrapping stitch" to sew the new patch into place.
Colorfast dyes can also be applied to match the surrounding area and make the repair virtually undetectable.

CAN YOU MAKE A NEW RUG LOOK ANTIQUE?
If you find a desirable rug, but it doesn't fit the decor, we can use an "antique wash" to alter the
background to give it antique appeal. |

WHY IS THE BACK OF MY RUG "CRACKING", LEAVING DEBRIS ON THE FLOOR?
Over time, the rug's foundation can be oxidize from age or neglect and deteriorate. We can apply
"latexing" to the back of the rug to stabilize it and remedy the situation. |
